During the winter of 2012 we launched our Clothes Collection campaign.

The aim of the project is to collect new and lightly used items of clothing in order to send them to impoverished orphans and their families in Iraq.  The clothes are brought into our office in Stanmore and sorted by our volunteers into boxes for men, women and children. We then send them in a shipment to Iraq, to those with the greatest need.

While at first our clothes campaign was solely for the orphans, the devastating conflict which swept Iraq in 2014 by ISIS resulted in thousands of families having to flee their homes, leaving most of their possessions and belongings behind.  Many of these families have ended up living as refugees, on the streets or having to squat in abandoned buildings- barely able to survive.  Our campaign was therefore expanded to include the displaced families in addition to the orphans.  We are now operating on a larger scale and a shipment goes out monthly to so that we can reach as many people as possible.

How you can help:

If you would like to donate clothes for our ongoing campaign, please bring them to our offices at 4 Dalston Gardens, Stanmore, HA7 1BU on weekdays between 9am and 5pm.  Please make sure you bring clothes inside the office, please do not leave the clothes outside. Thank you.

The clothes are very gratefully received by the families and the orphans.  If you would like to volunteer your time to help sort the clothes to be ready for shipping, then please contact us – we really do need all the help we can get!
